Breast lift surgery (mastopexy); is a procedure that allows the sagging breast to be lifted with its tissue or optionally with an implant (silicone) in a patient who does not have enough breast tissue and has sagged. This operation takes between 2 and 3 hours under general anesthesia..
Severe pain is not expected in breast lift surgery. These pains, which last for three to five days, respond to painkillers.
Depending on the patient's breast tissue, a scar changes depending on the sagging and decreases visibility over time.
Breast lift, augmentation, and reduction operations are performed by protecting the milk ducts. Although the milk ducts are preserved, it is not sure whether the breast can give milk. Some patients have been given postpartum milk after breast reduction or lift surgery. However, there is no guarantee that any patient will provide milk.
